Archbishop Chapelle High School is an all-girls private Catholic high school located on the east bank of Jefferson Parish that serves students in grades 8-12. Chapelle offers a superior academic program in conjunction with spiritual education that encourages personal and leadership development. Students are given the opportunities and guidance needed to develop into the leaders of tomorrow with the security of the motto “Deus Providebit…God Will Provide”.
Founded in 1962, Chapelle celebrates over sixty years of academic excellence and innovation. Chapelle’s educational program is rooted in the Catholic philosophy of education, the requirements of the Louisiana State Department of Education, and the general entrance requirements of colleges and universities. Students from the New Orleans metro area, River Parishes, and the Northshore come to Chapelle because of the countless offerings, opportunities, and stellar reputation Chapelle has in the community.
Archbishop Chapelle High School’s top priority is the religious education and spiritual development of its students.Chapelle offers weekly masses and communion services, monthly school masses, and a bounty of prayer and rosary services scattered throughout the year. Religion classes and campus ministry activities help deepen students’ understanding of their shared Catholic faith and create opportunities to see the virtues of Catholicism in action.
The academic path at Chapelle allows students to excel beyond the standard course. Twenty total Advanced Placement and dual-enrollment classes combined with a STEM lab and state of the art technology make Chapelle’s academic curriculum a true college preparatory school. Chapelle’s student technology initiative integrates technology into every subject through the use of individualized Google Chromebooks and multipurpose labs for collaborative learning. Academic opportunities combined with ever changing technological advancements allow individualized education and support the unique path that each student takes.
To complement impressive academics, Chapelle’s competitive athletics and an array of student activities ensure a well-rounded educational experience within a nurturing family environment. There are more than 50 clubs and sports teams available to help each student find her voice, develop her leadership skills, and make lifelong friends. Archbishop Chapelle High School is a member of the Louisiana High School Athletic Association (LHSAA) and offers twelve competitive sports teams that continually prove Chapelle’s excellence in the arena of high school athletics. Newly renovated volleyball locker rooms and a Chapelle softball field added value to the already thriving athletics program.
Archbishop Chapelle High School stands proudly as a beacon of Christ’s light and proudly honors the values of her namesake.
