Thank you for voting me the 2023 Family Favorite Counselor! I am grateful for the support and encouragement from the NOLA community, and so thankful for the opportunity to help those that have come to Be Well NOLA Counseling.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor and a Nationally Certified Counselor, I have worked with children and teens for over 20 years in the school setting and now in private practice. I counsel individuals to help them develop skills to be the best version of themselves. These include developing coping and social skills, managing strong emotions, developing techniques to manage anxiety, and counseling individuals who have experienced grief and loss in their lives.
When I worked in a school setting, I loved helping children and adolescents in all stages of development including early childhood, elementary, middle school, and high school. During the COVID shutdown, I experienced the increase in anxiety with my children and noticed many families had similar struggles. I saw a need to provide help to those families and decided to open my private practice, Be Well NOLA Counseling, where I counsel children, teens, and adults.
A super “pawesome” part of Be Well NOLA is our sweet Golden Retriever, Arby! He has a kind, gentle nature, loves helping people and he is working towards becoming a therapy dog.
An extra special announcement…I’m excited to share a project that has been 10 years in the making, the Be Well Press Publishing imprint! Throughout my counseling career I have written my own stories that I felt best illustrated the counseling concepts I wanted to teach. It’s always been my wish to publish these to make them available for families, and I’m thrilled to finally be able to do so. My first five books are out now and there are more on the way!
