Dr. John Ochsner Discovery Health Sciences Academy is a public charter school serving students in grades Pre-K through 8th. The school is located in Jefferson Parish and offers a robust academic program emphasizing health sciences, allowing students to discover their talents, explore opportunities, and succeed.
Discovery students benefit from extracurricular classes that teach them the basics of music, art, physical education, Spanish, and computer. We also offer after-school activities based on student interests and availability. Dr. John Ochsner Discovery has a strong school culture, an active student body, and an engaged school community. The school has a new state-of-the-art campus featuring Emeril’s Culinary Garden and Teaching Kitchen, STEM lab, computer lab, library, gym, and cafeteria. Students in 8th grade have the option to attend Kenner Discovery High School, which has earned an “A” rating for two consecutive years.
