Success at Thurgood Marshall is an open enrollment single site charter in Mid-City, serving 450 students from all over Orleans Parish. In 2009, Success at ‘Thurgood Marshall was founded as Success Preparatory Academy by Niloy Gangopadhyay and St. Clair Adriaan. Our school has a rich and diverse history, but one thing has always remained the same- our unwavering commitment to the children of New Orleans.

The three pillars of our school program are rigorous academics, transformational social emotional learning, and experiences and exposure. Success at Thurgood Marshall believes that all three are equally important for a well-rounded education that leads to happy, healthy lives of unlimited possibility. In a world where our students routinely face barriers such as systemic racism, ableism, and other forms of oppression, the school strives to create an environment where all students are seen, heard, loved, and celebrated for exactly who they are and who they will become.
